In early May we start fishing for Smallmouth Bass. Smallmouth Bass, Yep! We have them, lot's of them, and some very big Smallmouth Bass can be hooked in the Snake River.

The fight and power of a large Snake River Sturgeon is truly a humbling thing. The common misconception of many people is that Sturgeon do not fight much, and that they are brought in like a dead weight. If this is your impression, then you haven't been Sturgeon fishing on the Snake River! Sturgeon are an awesome fighting fish and to most anglers' surprise, will jump when hooked. I have seen many fish in the 200lb+ class actually clear the water completely several times. Now tell me that's not exciting! In the world of Sturgeon fishing 40, 50 or even 60lbs is still just a baby; we don't measure these fish in inches, these Bad Boy's come by the foot!

 

In September we focus our attention to the Steelhead for some of the best

action in fresh water fishing that can be found. The Snake River run of

Steelhead can take your breath away with their fast runs and unbelievable

jumps. We find that the Steelhead fishing is at it’s best until late November.

We do continue to fish for the Steelhead until late February but the fishing

and weather can be very unpredictable at this time of year.
